Ryan Thomson has been selected as Bromley Labour’s candidate for Crystal Palace in the upcoming by-election on May 6 th , 2021. Ryan is a senior consultant for organisations in the charity, healthcare and education sectors. He hopes to bring his knowledge and diverse experience of tackling societal problems to inspire new ways of thinking on the council.
“I am so proud to have been chosen as Labour’s candidate for Crystal Palace. I have actively campaigned on many local issues, including making Bett’s Park safer and for the restoration of our beloved bowl, and am eager to take this to the next level in the council chamber. Beyond my passion for the local area, I also have a long history of launching social change initiatives and have developed a deep insight into our community’s most pressing challenges, as well as their potential solutions, through my consulting career. If elected, I would harness this knowledge and experience to drive real meaningful change in Crystal Palace – whilst speaking up for residents and championing the local community”
Cllr Angela Wilkins (Crystal Palace councillor and Leader of Bromley Labour Group) added:
“With only two councillors representing this busy ward, it’s vital to have someone who can hit the ground running. I know Ryan will do just that. Along with Bromley’s other Labour Councillors, I look forward to Ryan joining and strengthening our team after May 6th ”
